Nirvana was formed in 1987 in Aberdeen, Washington and its music genre focused more on alternative rock and grunge. It was a smaller band in size with only three main members, including Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl. Nirvana would be bringing in a big change in music that made them a hit among their audience; unfortunately, the band’s life was short lived due to the demise of Kurt Cobain in 1994. However, Nirvana’s music would continue to be enjoyed and the albums the group put out during its existence are still being sold. The other two members of the band would also continue to release albums of their own and continue their own musical careers.
It took a little time before the band was able to settle on the name Nirvana. There were a few other names the members were contemplating, but they settled on Nirvana as Kurt Cobain wanted a name that was nice and beautiful instead of something ugly and typical. The music they created during the years the band was active was also a reflection of this. From the time they first started putting out music until Kurt Cobain’s death, the music continued to change and remain relatively original. This originality and experimentation with their music was well received by their audience.
Even Kurt himself realized how much their music kept changing and growing when he admitted that many of their first songs were angrier, while their later songs became “poppier” and “happier.” While it was good for the band to have their music so well accepted, Kurt Cobain was a little shy of the attention. He wanted the focus more on their music than on their fans and possible future awards. Apparently, the music meant more to him than anything else, so much so that he worked hard to keep the focus of the band in itself.
It really is unfortunate that the band had such a short run as they were on a good start to having a very successful future. In fact, it is possible that if Kurt had been successful in kicking his addictive and devastating habit the band could have enjoyed many more years of popularity. They could have even possibly won awards and gained far more recognition than they had. As mentioned before, after Kurt Cobain passed away, the other members of the band continued on their own musical career. It seems that Kurt was not the only one who wanted to compose and perform music for others to enjoy.
The surviving members went on to create or join other groups where they could continue doing what they enjoyed. It would seem that while Nirvana was, for the most part, a small band that mainly consisted of three people, these three people were dedicated to their art; music. They enjoyed experimenting with music and creating new sounds that could be shared with an audience. Nirvana’s music, and the subsequent music created and performed by the two surviving members, is new and different music that is still enjoyed by many today.

How can i keep my hair smooth and somewhat presentable at really crazy concerts?
Sunday, May 16th, 2010I’ve been trying all different things, and while i know my hair will never be perfect after all the sweat/water/other substances that probably get in my hair, i want it to be okay looking, at least. i have wavy kind of frizzy hair, but it’s easily tamed by a straight iron and frizz serum. Concerts completely mess that up though. . .
any products or ideas?
How to KISS ~ by THE BAND INSANITY
Thursday, June 18th, 2009As a rock music fan, and creator my self. I have to give homage to KISS for opening a door for us as rockers to be as crazy and fucked as we want to be and still make it to the top. What else in the world can we do but this! Were the band insanity, and we’d be lost with out this chance to be. But i digress, here’s a little more history on the band we call KISS!
KISS is an American rock band formed in New York City in December 1972. Easily identified by its members’ trademark face paint and stage outfits, the group rose to prominence in the mid and late-1970s on the basis of their elaborate live performances, which featured fire breathing, blood spitting, smoking guitars, and pyrotechnics. Kiss has been awarded 24 gold albums to date. The band has sold over 19 million records in the United States and their worldwide sales exceed 85 million albums.
The original lineup of Paul Stanley (vocals and rhythm guitar), Gene Simmons (vocals and bass guitar), Ace Frehley (lead guitar and vocals), and Peter Criss (drums, percussion and vocals) is the most successful and identifiable. With their makeup and costumes, they took on the personae of comic book-style characters: The Demon (Simmons), Starchild (Stanley), Spaceman (Frehley), and Catman (Criss). The band explains that the fans were the ones who ultimately chose their makeup designs. The “Demon” makeup reflected Simmons’ cynicism and dark elements, as well as his love for comic books. Paul Stanley became the “Starchild” due to his tendency to be referred to as the “starry-eyed lover” and “hopeless romantic.” Ace Frehley’s “Spaceman” makeup was a reflection of him wanting to go for a ride in a space ship and supposedly being from another planet. Peter Criss’ “Catman” makeup was in accordance with the belief that Criss had nine lives due to his rough childhood in Brooklyn. Due to creative differences, both Criss and Frehley were out of the group by 1982. The band’s commercial fortunes had also waned considerably by that point.
In 1983, Kiss abandoned its makeup and enjoyed a commercial resurgence throughout the rest of the decade. Buoyed by a wave of Kiss nostalgia in the 1990s, the band announced a reunion of the original lineup (with makeup) in 1996. The resulting Kiss Alive/Worldwide/Lost Cities/Reunion Tour was the top-grossing act of 1996 and 1997. Criss and Frehley have since left Kiss again and have been replaced by Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer, respectively. The band continues to perform with makeup, while Stanley and Simmons have remained the only two constant members.

INSANE CLOWN POSSE aka ICP 10 annual gathering!
Monday, May 25th, 2009straight out of Violent J’s mouth! will it be all he’s hyping it up to be? i guess well just have to wait and see! i want to hear from any one that’s been to one of the 9 gatherings. is it worth the money! or the waste? of time. i myself have never been a fan! and thought it was great when eminem was punking them out! but thats just me! but i can not hate cause they do have a cult following? how or why i am not sure? but any ways i digress! here’s the run down of from Violent J !

The 10th Annual is going to be the biggest and most spectacular event in the history of Psychopathic Records. Flat out, bitch, no doubt about it. Of course you will hear more and more about it as the devastation draws closer. Names and special attractions will continue to drop and secrets will be revealed right up until actual show time. The Dark Carnival is truly approaching in the form of the Gathering, and if you’ve attended one before than you already know. But if you’ve never been, than this is the year you absolutely cannot miss. I’ll tell you why ninja… because along with all of this year’s new, exiting, and never seen before tactics, we also promise to bring back the best of the last 9 Gatherings and wrap it all together into one super ass, nitro, nitrus, Juggalo, gala, galactic, bomb-ass blunt big enough for everybody to hit twice!
The first thing I wanna tell y’all about, is what I’m probably most geeked about myself and that is the official return of two of our closest Juggalo homies! They are as family as family can be and this year they’re both coming home! My brother Jumpsteady and the one and only Rude Boy!!! Yes both Juggalo ninjas will return at this years Gathering loud and proud! Rob and Rudy both will be back in action in the form of hosting parties, judging contest and most of all just kickin’ it with Juggalos!
And for the 10th Annual, we promise the Main Stage this year will be bigger and better than ever before. Of course it will be super stacked solid with Psychopathic Record’s entire roster of Hatchet Warriors. Plus Juggalo world favorites and hardcore renowned superstars from all over this freakin’ earth!
Now lets see, we already shaved your wigs off last week when we announced the Kottonmouth Kings will be returning to the Gathering stage this year with their own special blend of high grade, seedless, super octane energy. KMK are in a league of there own on stage and the world knows it!
Well, now we shall shampoo your bald scalps and slap the top of your chrome domes with this stunning news… you can add the amazing Tech N9ne to the list of Main Stage devastation at this year’s family reunion. That’s right, Tech N9ne in this bitch all the way live! Nobody does it like Tech. NOBODY.
What a stellar line up right there. Psychopathic, Suburban Noise and Strange Music, all 3 attacking your necks with triple blades of devastation. I know your eyeballs both just popped in your head and are now hanging outta your face like two deflated condoms. Don’t worry, you will be OK. It only means that you have been utterly schooled. But don’t forget, this is just today’s lesson. This is Hatchet Man 101, bitch. And you’re just a young freshmen. Your nuts ain’t even dropped yet. You don’t graduate class until August 6th, 2009 and the Gathering has officially kicked off. Until then, class is still in session bitch, so expect many more info bombs still to be delivered to your chiny chin chin piece!
Wrestling Fans… Do you like JCW? Yes you do, bitch. You like it like a 13 year old boy likes the big boobs in his face. Did you enjoy Bloodymanias 1 and 2? Of course you did. You enjoyed them like free money. Well just like everything else at the 10th Annual Gathering, JCW this year will be bigger, brighter and more brutal than ever! That’s my word ninja. Saturday Night at Midnight, right after Twiztid unleashes mass hysteria and leaves the family in an uncontrollable frenzy, that’s when Bloodymania 3 begins!
This year’s Bloodymania is kind of fuckin’ crazy. We got some new faces showing up as well as the regular favorites ninjas love. We’re definitely trying some brand new things though. Here is just some of the madness:
First off, you can expect to see the JWO in action at Bloodymania 3, we wouldn’t have it no other way. I’m talking about JCW Champ Corporal Robinson, Scott “Razor” Hall and Big Kevin Nash, as well as Shaggy 2 Dope and Violent J in wrestling action.
This is one of my favorites… JCW’s toughest brawler vs. one of the toughest brawlers in the entire world. The world famous knock-out artist Butter Bean comes to The Gathering of the Juggalos and to JCW to face the baddest dude we know, Bull Pain. Wow, let me say that again…. Butter Bean vs Bull Pain. Stiff blows will be delt like BANG! POW! BOOM!
Try these wrestling panties on… Ken Shamrock!!!! UFC Hall of Famer KEN SHAMROCK! He’s gonna do a fresh ass MMA Seminar with the Juggalos and he’s gonna wrestle a very special match at Bloodymania 3!
Peep this out. This next match marks the return of a legend and the retirement of another! Abdullah The Butcher. Abby up in this bitch! He don’t even get in the ring anymore. It don’t matter though, he will still cut the fuck outta you. He says this will be his final match. He’s been wrestling for over 40 years, and he couldn’t pick a better place to hang up his boots. His last match is also the reason he hasn’t retired yet. He wants to go at it one more time with the likes of… The Rude Boy. That’s right, the legendary Rude Boy is coming back after 3 long years on hiatus for this big “One More Time Match” against Abdullah the Butcher. This match is already bleeding!
Also several more major stars will be added as a part of Bloodymania 3! Not to mention the mighty giant Abyss, Raven & Sexy Slim Goody, Tracy Smothers, The Weedman, Sabu, 2 Tuff Tony, and let us not forget at some point, someplace on this show, popping up outta his grave is JCW’s most popular wrestling character ever… Evil Dead!!!
We even got our comedy stage even stepping up it’s game for the 10th Annual. Upchuck The Clown has been hard at work landing some big names in comedy for the Juggalos to enjoy or enjoy heckling for that matter. We got Jimmy “JJ” Walker from Good Times. He’s gonna do some fresh stand up. Plus we got more extra heavy hitters in comedy still to be announced. So keep that tucked away in your brain.
These are just samples. A sampler platter if you will. There is still so much more of the buffet of freshness still to come. Believe me. This is number 10. We in the double digits now bitch. We’re on a whole new level now ninjas.
Look for more updates as time goes by and we get closer and closer to the ultra devastation that is the 10th Annual Gathering of the Juggalos August 6th , 7th, 8th and 9th. Much eternal clown love and we very much hope to see you there.
Tickets to this super event are available at www.JuggaloGathering.com and Hot Topics everywhere.
Also don’t forget! Showing TWICE! Right before Twiztid and right before ICP take to the Main Stage on the big giant screens Psychopathic will finally show the trailer for the movie Juggalos have waited 10 years to see!!! Big Money Rustlas!!!! The trailer showing twice!
check out the pictures from the 07 gathering lol!

sublime with out brad! is it really sublime at all?
Sunday, April 12th, 2009

who would have ever thought we would have ever heard a new sublime song .. or seen a live show of them again. i sure did’nt,not after the death of the late and great singer Bradley Nowell. but in the last 2 months there has been rumors swirling that Sublime is going to reunite,”well kind of” with all the surviving members; Eric Wilson (bass) and Bud Gaugh (drums) ganging up with some unknown singer. “who is reportedly a hug sublime fan him self”, to do a tour and a new album. well until march 2 of 09 this was all but a big hub bub.but, over the weekend, at a Mexican restaurant in Sparks, Nevada, that reunion officially happened.Of course, that sort of depends on your definition of “reunion.”Here’s what we do know: On Saturday, Del Mar, a punk act featuring former Sublime drummer Bud Gaugh, took the stage at the Cantina Los Tres Hombres, a Sparks restaurant/bar. After finishing the set, Gaugh then took the stage again, joined by Sublime bassist Eric Wilson and a Southern California singer by the name of Rome and began playing Sublime songs, even reportedly testing out at least one new song. The audience went crazy. After all, since calling it quits in ‘96, Sublime have had a string of hits (most notably “What I Got” and “Santeria”), sold more than 17 million albums worldwide and inspired a cottage industry of tribute acts, including Providence, Rhode Island’s Badfish. But does the Cantina gig mean that Sublime are back in business? Well, according to Del Mar, the answer is “yes.”
HERE’S A RUFF VIDEOS, SOUND IS LITTLE OFF BUT ITS THE BEST I COULD FIND..ENJOY
