Future Rock Band

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

Click to RT! bit.ly What rhythm games might look like in the future. Here, I play the rock and roll classic “Noob Slayer.” Augmented reality meets rhythm gaming! Also, apparently, in the future I have a career in the music biz writing one minute songs. And yes that’s a 5 star song. It’s mad difficult IRL believe me! Rock Band Network Megamix 01 – Various Artists – Rock Band 2 – Expert Full Band

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

“Rock Band Network Megamix 01″ by Various Artists. FREE downloadable content for Rock Band 2. This is only meant to show the chart. THIS IS NOT MEANT TO SHOW SKILL. Splync on expert bass www.youtube.com non_zero on expert drums www.youtube.com Quina on expert vocals www.youtube.com This megamix is impossible to pass on vocals due the severely broken talkies in “Everyone I Know Is an Alcoholic” Which really sucks because this was a great idea, but it’s now marred by this. People who don’t know what the RBN is or what the quality of the songs are, are going to play this and think that this is what they can expect and will blow it off, completely. It’s unfortunate. Quina has a better video of it from his perspective and the talkies don’t register, at all. Besides that, I think it’s the funnest free song available for RB and I dun goof’d on Night on Bald Mountain. =/

Rock Band 2 – The Bachman-Turner Award (achievement unlocking)

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010

This achievement troubles some people. Here’s a surefire way to get it. The unlock method is to keep Overdrive deployed for at least 90 seconds. The best song I found to try this on is The Kill, which is a downloadable song. Use it roughly where I use it, then have your partner use it when you’re about to run out (which might be a while if you both keep getting unison bonuses). Any combination of difficulties can be used, but the lower the difficulty, the easier it will be to hit the OD phrases. This song is the easiest for those with only one other person that knows how to play. If you can get a 3- or 4-person band, almost any song can be used. One song (“Sorry”, by Guns n’ Roses) can be used in single player. One other note is that this cannot be done in Score Duel or Tug of War. It must be in a band or single player. This song is downloadable content. One other note. My icon is silver because I completed the Endless Setlist 2 on Expert (in addition, I got the Bladder of Steel achievement in the same run). 08/31/10 update: To be honest, I’m surprised this has over 24k views.

Rock Band Network : Kramus – Embrace Your Rage (Preview Version)

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010

Sacrifice, true kindred spirits, and tight-knit dedication are hard to find in many bands, even for those strong enough to strive well beyond basement practices and bar circuits. From their beginning in 2000, the Connersville, Indiana-based group Kramus has been on a steady path of growth helping to redefine the diversity, emotion, and influence of rock music in the USA. Kramus has emerged as one of the nations most promising unsigned acts and with this great track from their EP “Embrace Your Rage” you will finally be able to experience the band in a way you never have before. Available on RBN now! Authored by BHK myspace.com/kramus
