Have you bought any new Cd’s? Are they classics, old, new, jazz, rock, pop. . . a mini review is preferable?

Monday, June 13th, 2011

I just bought these:Roger Waters – “Radio K. A. O. S. “Excellent so farDef Leppard – “Rock Of Ages The Definitive Collection”All good performancesPorcupine Tree – “In Absetia”Great mellow/heavy Progressive Rock really flowsJamGrass – “A Phish Trubute”If you like folk and bluegrass and have never heard Phish, this is the CD to get. The song selection and sequence flows really nice. Pink Floyd – “Animals”Great sonic and lyrical rollercoaster. I had to buy this animal of a CD again ’cause my copy got scratched. Good for me the new remastered version is clearer and louder than the prevoius one. The Police – “Zenyatta Mondatta”Classic must have from a great power trio. NOTE: I don’t want any technological news on downloading. I prefer to buy complete CD’s to experience them as the artist intended. I’m sorry I can’t say the same for most of today’s pop/rock music, so I understand why some prefer to go cherry picking favorite songs instead of the whole CD. Peace, music, luv

if you are writing a review of game, is it ok to put a cover of the game on your site?

Tuesday, June 7th, 2011

i’ve noticed that some sites use game covers (images on CD’s) on the page with the review. Is that ok, or do i need a permission for that?

What “sound-related” gift can I get my boyfriend for Christmas besides a CD?

Sunday, June 5th, 2011

I’m doing a “gift for each of the senses” theme for him for Christmas, and I’m completely stuck on “hearing”. I don’t want to get him CDs; he and I tend to agree on that we like individual songs rather than artists, plus CDs are kind of cheap. I also don’t want to make a mix CD, cause that’s even cheaper. At this point, I figured I can be pretty creative about “hearing” and broaden it to “anything that makes noise” but am still somewhat at a loss. Movies are out; he’s seen every movie he has any intention of seeing, basically, being that he runs a movie review site. He’s also the kind of person who runs out and gets himself anything he sees and wants, so there aren’t even any lingering things on his wishlist I can just snap up. I’d prefer something somewhat romantic if possible, but any ideas are very much appreciated. :)
