CONGRESO – Tema inédito ’70s (Rock Chileno)

Saturday, May 15th, 2010

Congreso is one of the best and most legendary Chilean rock bands of all times. The music they do is a mix of rock, prog, psych, folk and Latin styles. In the second half of the 70′s, they recorded a song for EMI, for a promo compilation of Chilean bands which would be released in Mexico. The record was never released and the myth about a lost song of Congreso was born. I was informed the title of that song is “En busca del sol” (Looking for the sun), I’m not so sure, it could be “La tierra nueva” (The new land)…But the fact is I own the master of that song, a 10″ metallic recod…Here it’s that lost song, possiblely the only copy still in existence…I cleaned the clicks, pops, crackles and noises, so you can enjoy a song with a good sound quality, just like Congreso deserves…Enjoy this unknown song, maybe the most collectible item of the whole Chilean rock history and, remember, all comments are welcomed…
