The Who Super Bowl S-mash Up – The Who – Rock Band 2 – Expert Full Band Part 1

Thursday, February 3rd, 2011

“The Who Super Bowl S-mash Up (Medley)” by The Who. Downloadable content for Rock Band 2. This song was played on our sightreads, meaning this was the first time we have ever played the song and seen the chart. THIS IS NOT MEANT TO SHOW SKILL. Me on expert guitar Splync on expert bass www.youtube.com non_zero on expert drums www.youtube.com Quinnaking on expert vocals www.youtube.com I find the way this all came together to be very, very cool. Now as for the song, it’s alright. I hope most of us can agree that Daltrey’s voice is not what it once was, of course. The man is over 60 years old, aging does that, but on “See Me, Feel Me” I actually cringed… Also watched the SB half time performance I was given the impression this song was going to be really awesome on guitar, but Townsend ended up not replicating most of his playing on this recording, so I was a bit disappointed. Over all, I still found it to be enjoyable, I cannot do the gallops in The Who songs at all, and did a wonderful job not hitting them here either! And I was really shocked we didn’t Gold Star this, at the end most of us were between 97-98%. Song is terrific on drums, so if you’re a fan of The Who, I would probably suggest getting it, but know this is not the band from 30 years ago. This is the first half of the song featuring “Pinball Wizard,” “Baba O’ Riley” and “Who Are You”. Part 2: www.youtube.com
