How do I download different music to different kinds of ipods threw the same computer?

So in total in my family we have like three ipods but we all like different kinds of music,how do we download different music into the three different ipods, do i make another folder or something, because since we like alot of music putting all of our music together makes it complicated to look for a specific song,video,or picture and takes more space. . . thanx in advance!
