Classic Game Room HD reviews SONIC CD for Sega CD from 1993! This awesome side scrolling platformer uses all of the CD’s abilities to deliver awesome music with crystal clear compact disc sound with 1980′s laser beam technology! Sonic CD is widely regarded as one of the best Sonic adventures and once you play it you’ll see why. Solid 2D side scrolling gameplay mixed with a clever future / past system, enormous levels and an endless array of scoring possibilities makes Sonic CD the Sonic game for fans of old school Sonic the Hedgehog videogames. This CGR review of Sonic CD has gameplay from Sonic CD on the Sega Mega Drive with Mega-CD add on showing Sonic CD game play in action. Also available for PC!

wait a tic i might be the only one catching this i dunno but the ending video looks ALOT like the opening to sonic heroes just all 2d’ish
I love this game but I don’t think its the “gem” that everyone claims it is. The sound effects are awful even for that point time the jump noise ticks me off. Also the bad ending is possibly the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen. But I have to say that it did have the best soundtrack.
@Skyrift Sega already released Sonic DVD!?
i play this all the time
@dajasonyankovic O haven’t had internet for a while so I didn’t know.
@seganerd89 sonic the hedgehog for sega genesis which was posted 5 days before this was

I WANNA C U REVIEW SONIC PINBALL!!!!! XD
Why is Sonic Cd the first sonic review for cgr, like a million years after Cgr was invented??
Gamecube + Sonic Gems Collection is a much cheaper option than Sega Genesis + Sega CD + Sonic CD.
Love Sonic CD, next to Sonic 2, this ranks as one of my favorites in the series.
One of the greatest games of all time. Awesome game with anime-influenced worlds, anime opening and ending sequences, tight controls, gameplay based on time-travelling, and a soundtrack that kicks major ass (both the Japanese and North American versions). How can you go wrong?
Oh, almost forgot to mention; you can only find those electric capsules in the past.
Protip: The future isn’t always gray and rusty. If you can find and destroy the electric capsule in both the first two acts of each zone, you’ll get a vivid eco-friendly utopia in act 3.
Well, I’m so happy you found this game; it’s my favorite Sonic game, even though I’d only discovered it a few years ago through Youtube. While the JP soundtrack sounds better overall, the US versions of Wacky Workbench and Quartz Quadrant are awesome!
I think everyone gets the title of this wrong. . It’s SONIC THE HEDGEHOG CD (according to Sega anyway). It’s a good game, but not as good as the first 2 IMO.
that medly of evil laughter when you die is fuckin creepy.
Mark you make me laugh hard at some of the things you say, you’re too clever.
WAR ON THE MUSHROOM KINGDOOM
Hands down, this was the best Sonic game ever made.
So where has this game been released on in America other than the Sega CD? I know that the Game Cube version of Sonic Gems Collection has it, any other?
The Game Over laughs are Zelda and her Father from Zelda CD-I. anyone agree?
>cept that story about her and the other fag having more than just a friendship might be true>fucker raep’d my friend>i was on the phone to hear it>wish i didnt
@shalpp >implying (yes i know, but i had to) i said there’s no trolls ever, except when schoolkids are let loose by their retard fucking parents and start getting completely wrecked by the internet in general, e. g. Jessi Slaughter?>Greentexting, now officially addicted, but will still complain
