Ditto! The mighty J. Geils Band are now officially the kings of Boston! Sad to say, I left while Aerosmith was still playing. Heard I missed the Dream On on top of the Green Monster, but still no regrets for the early exit.
Eric,You hit the nail on the head. J. Geils Band were as tight as they ever were, very engaging and Pete Wolf was more than willing to break down the wall between band and audience. Aerosmith on the other hand, wanted you to know they are rock stars and posed incessantly. They played a set mixed with many of their pop duds and “Guitar Hero” ads. Very lame indeed. So in a nutshell, even after thousands of shows, Geils was still hungry, and Aerosmith was very full. Of themselves!
