monkeyjunkie: I CALLED IT A DEAD MUPPET COAT TOO. I AM NOT JOKING.
I live in a city with over 2 million English speaking individuals and we do not have one Starbucks…and it’s bliss! No Wendy’s, Denny’s or Taco-Bell either. Unfortunately McDonalds are everywhere though…
I believe the troughs are okay because of the versity of partisipants. ME TOO. The Cheubacka jacket is a hoot if you don’t take it seriously.
When Decoy Records in Manchester bit the dust it was largely because of skiewed competition from the net but at least they never suffered this ignomy. Seek the lowest common denominator by all means to harvest your plebian dollars (somebody gotta do it I guess), but howzabout you leave some space for those of us who are uncommon?
It’s worrying though when the Rufus Wainwrights of this world get involved. Maybe everyone has his price. *shudder*
I used to work at this Hear Music – and yes I will agree that Starbucks ruined it. All the true music lovers were replaced with corporate douches minus a few of the employees – so sad
