@LeeMcAdamsSmith I dug up a few definitions of a chord and they seem to agree that a chord is a group of 3 or 4 tones or pitches sounded at the same time – so, technically, a powerchord IS a chord as even though 2 of the notes are the same, they are at different pitches :D Technicalities, ya gotta love ‘em!Cheers

I love the music man ! but um . . . a chord has to be three separate notes played together. 2 notes is called an interval. a power chord is not a chord( though I love them to death) it’s a perfect interval. even a four string power chord is still just two different notes with the octaves EBeb . just trying to help so the next some ones you don’t know what a chord is you can give them the right answer. my favorite hymn for distorted power chord harmony is “Abide with me”

@dboyy13 You are forgetting a very important verse 1 Corinthians 10:31 ‘So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God’. Clearly these guys are doing what they love for God’s glory. In fact I am inspired by them. Maybe it you who needs to get our of your narrow minded state and realize God is moving across the nations, using people in different ways to spread his message.

Your comment WhiteHatBobby epitomizes whats wrong with Christians today. You think its about your needs. Tell you what. Go to a High School or College campus and sing “Old Rugged Cross” and see how many young adults come to listen to your message. Not sure where in your Bible it says only old church hymns are acceptable to God. Please enlighten me if you find it. It does mention a “joyful noise” I submit you will see alot more joy at this show than a stuffy old church. God Bless.

Punk rock is about noticing the flaws in governments, society and religion. It is about standing up and doing something about it. How can I be a punk and still believe in a ‘religion?’ A religion is something man made, and unfortunately for Christianity it has become something for man to twist for his own evil desire. I do not follow a religion, I do not follow man. . . I follow Jesus Christ.

LOL. Becoming the Archetpye does a billion times better cover than this. Go watch it.

Great cover! Also funny to read the stuck-in-the-1940′s Church Ladies comments. Change is coming to the Christian church- a more modern sound. They can either choose to accept it or listen to their old Betty Jean Robinson and Mike Purkey 33RPM records. . . haha.

Wow, WhiteHatBobby that’s messed up. Most people are encouraged to see young people worshiping. Every time I’ve led worship in church it’s always much louder and up beat than normal, but the heart of it is still the same. And here’s news for you, the heart is all that counts. When I die I’m bring a Les Paul and a big stack of amps to worship with the angels.

  14. Slopperdroppper says:

This is worship for some people. Some people love to worship to this. And some people love to worship to hyms. Everyone has their own worship. So just because you don’t like it doesnt mean you should diss it.

punk is what you make it but when its punk ROCK your suppose to be creative and have your own sound but you got the most important thing about punk aleast a powerful message and punk rock is not greenday or fallout boy their music is aganist the beliefs of punk

  19. bob0wonder says:

good job. u should check out becoming the archetype’s cover of this hymn

  20. seventyseventimes says:

cheers – there’s just a few of our songs where i sing so low. most i go considerably higher! lol

  21. seventyseventimes says:

a chord is 2 or more notes played together. . . your point being?! lol, you make me laugh! what exactly makes you think you know what god would like? we play heart-felt worship in a style that suits us – surely the most important thing is to have a heart for worship?

  22. seventyseventimes says:

what do you class as ‘serious church music’? i’m intrigued. as to your ridiculous comment about ear plugs in church 1) this wasn’t in a church and 2) when we do play in churches its on a fri/sat night where everyone who goes is aware of what we play. i hate generalisations about ‘todays generation’. if i were to take that attitude about ‘yesterdays generation’ i’m pretty sure you’d take offence if i said you’re all stuck in your ways and wish sankey were still writing dull essays for hymns. . .

  23. WhiteHatBobby says:

It is sad that we treat this with much praise, but today’s generation dislikes serious church music. I do not want to attend church and have to wear earplugs.

  24. riskybusiness89 says:

The Vocalist in this band sound a bit like Brian Eno, when he used to sing on his solo albums back in the 1970s.
